The swabs of positive cases detected from the clusters or high risk groups should be timely and meticulously sent to designated Genome Sequencing labs in view of growing concerns over new COVID variants, the Health and Family Welfare department officials said.
The government of Karnataka has released a circular in this regard on Saturday late night. It has been told to the health department to continue the targeted testing of cases of ILI, SARI, contacts of positive cases and high risk groups.
The district administration has prepared an action plan which focuses on testing, tracing, and treatment.
