In 2018, Musk had cited the country's challenging regulatory environment as among the reasons for not foraying into India.
On several occasions earlier, Musk had revealed that he would like to bring Tesla to India, but in a 2018 Twitter post, he cited "some challenging government regulations.
However, this partial presence may refer only to services for Tesla owners. It remains to be seen if we can have a Tesla showroom in any major metro city in India too.
