The Director-General of Australia's top intelligence agency has called for a society-wide approach to addressing violent extremism after the country's terror threat level was raised.
Kumar, who was addressing a press conference here after the conclusion of the two days visit of the EC to J&K during which it reviewed the preparedness to hold the elections, said “We will not allow any internal or external forces derail the electoral process.”
It may be noted here that senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar had triggered a controversy by saying that India should engage in dialogue with Pakistan or else the country could end up paying a heavy price.
All these put a big question mark on the security of the country's eastern frontier.
The two-week exercise commenced this morning at the Special Forces Training School in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. It is an annual event conducted alternatively in both the countries.
