In a huge relief to the dissident BRS MLAs ,the Telangana High Court has set aside an order of a single-judge bench which had directed the Speaker to announce within four weeks a schedule to decide on the disqualification petition against three MLAs who had joined the Congress.
Revanth Reddy responded to the leader of the Opposition by promising to make Telangana gig workers’ policy comprehensive and inclusive.
Former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy was arrested on Wednesday by Vikarabad police in connection with the attack on district collector and other government officials at Lagcherla village in Kodangal constituency.
“This will be a litmus test for the BJP leadership in Delhi…” the BRS working president wrote in his complaint to Union Minister for Urban Development Manoharlal Khattar.
The DM today visited that area along with special officer of newly formed Kodangal Area Development Authority (KADA) Venkat Reddy in order to conduct a public hearing over land acquisition for a pharma company.
"I thank the voters of Telangana for showing confidence on us. The people of Telangana have decided that there must be change, there must be change for progress and development," Shivakumar said.
The BJP has crossed the halfway mark in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and the Congress in Telangana, as per the early trends of the Election Commission (EC).
Loss of the three states in the heartland will greatly worry the Congress, it means there are no takers here for the Congress' electoral volley 'Caste Census'.
Counting in Mizoram, which also had gone to polls along with these four states last month, will be held on Monday.
There may be changes in electoral understandings between ruling Trinamul Congress and rivals, CPM-led Left and Congress in Bengal if the latter perform better in the Assembly polls in five states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram, ahead of the general elections in the country early next year.
