TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to be sworn in for the fourth time as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh as the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance decimated the YSRCP in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections held simultaneously with the TDP surpassing the majority mark of 88 on its own.
Afterwards as an NDA ally, he convinced the BJP to include the TDP and when the national party which had less than one per cent vote demanded more number of seats he sacrificed his own party’s interest for the larger good.
In the Lok Sabha polls, the TDP is leading in 16 seats, while the YSRCP has the lead in only 4 seats and BJP three seats as of now. There are 25 Lok Sabha seats in total in the southern state.
Naidu tipped to be NDA convenor
As per the initial trends the NDA is poised to sweep the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, with early leads in majority of the seats.
