Udhayanidhi Stalin warns of uprising against imposition of Hindi

In a showdown with the Modi government for “intimidating” Tamil Nadu to accept the New Education Policy (NEP) and its three-language formula for release of Central funds for the state, Deputy Chief Minister and ruling DMK’s Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin, on Tuesday, warned that the BJP-led Union government’s haughtiness would only lead to another uprising against Hindi imposition.

TN Health Dept on high alert as dengue cases on the rise

The Tamil Nadu Health Department is on high alert following the increase in dengue cases in the state. Around 14,000 dengue cases and seven deaths have been recorded in the last nine months, which is the highest number of cases in the last seven years.
