On this milestone of ten years for the Swachhata campaign today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the and engaged in a cleanliness drive with school children.
Mayors of Jammu and Srinagar, Rajinder Sharma and Junaid Azim Mattu also led the cleanliness drive in their respective municipal corporation areas.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh will launch the campaign and a dedicated platform with the goal of ensuring the prompt and efficient resolution of public complaints from members of parliament, state governments, and parliamentary assurance.
The event was organised by the Indian Institute and Ecology and Environment and other associates with the theme of this year’s World Environment Day is “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
