The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) a few days ago, had opposed the first information report (FIR) filed against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters on the basis of actress Rhea Chakraborty's complaint and said that it was ‘vitiated and bad in law.’
The accused, identified as Vibhor Anand, who claims to be an advocate has been brought to Mumbai and his Twitter account has been suspended for violating the social media platform’s guidelines.
The lawsuit names Republic TV Arnab Goswami and Pradeep Bhandari and Times Now Navika Kumar and Rahul Shivshankar.
Rhea and her brother Showick Chakraborty who have been in jail for nearly a month were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for procuring and financing drugs for actor Rajput on his instructions.
The actor said, ”I'll be a liar if I say that this problem does not exist in our industry. It exists, just like every industry. But every person in every profession is not involved in such problems. This is impossible."
Besides Rhea, the CBI also grilled Rhea's brother Showik, Sushant's ex-manager Shruti Modi and his flatmate Siddharth Pithani. A team of CBI also visited the Mont Blanc Apartment in Bandra West, where Sushant lived
Reportedly not satisfied with the reply, Sayeed has now ordered the BMC to file a detailed affidavit, along with the names and versions of all persons concerned present at the time when the actress is said to have gone to the mortuary.
The WhatsApp chats from last year show actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik ordering someone to get doobie, which Google defines as cannabis cigarette.
According to reports, Rhea Chakraborty was asked 10 key questions on Friday, including her relationship with Sushant and what happened during her Europe tour with Rajput, among others.
On Thursday, the CBI had summoned Showik Chakraborty, Rhea's brother, and grilled him for 14 hours until midnight.
