On Saturday, CBI in its closure reports said that it did not find any evidence that anyone had driven Sushant Singh Rajput to suicide, and Rhea Chakraborty and her family have been given a clean chit.
Her father, Satish Salian, has approached the Bombay High Court, demanding a new investigation into what he claims was a "politically-orchestrated cover-up."
Sushant, 34, was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020, which created a huge controversy, with later the investigation being handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) a few days ago, had opposed the first information report (FIR) filed against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters on the basis of actress Rhea Chakraborty's complaint and said that it was ‘vitiated and bad in law.’
As per the replies submitted to the SHRC by the BMC, there is a 'waiting area' where certain categories of people such as relatives are permitted.
Shruti Modi was summoned on Tuesday by the NCB to join the probe. Besides Shruti Modi, Sushant's talent manager Jaya Saha was also summoned by the agency.
On Sunday, she appeared before the NCB for the first time and was subjected to a six-hour grilling amid speculations that the actress would be arrested as investigators went hammer and tongs after drug related allegations that have emerged in the death case.
According to CBI sources, Mitu Singh has recorded her statement with the agency. She accompanied the CBI team to the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West -- where Sushant was found dead on June 14.
The summon to Rhea comes a day after a court on Saturday sent her brother Showik and Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda to four days NCB custody till September 9.
