Sumitra Mahajan, an eight-time MP from Indore, had last month opted out of the 2019 General Elections.
In a letter expressing her wish to not contest the polls, the MP from Indore questioned why a candidate has not been declared yet from the seat.
There is speculation that Sumitra Mahajan, who turns 76 on April 12, may also not be renominated.
Khajuria urged the speaker that since it was an urgent and important matter, it should be taken up on a priority basis and action initiated against Abdullah as the term of the 16th Lok Sabha was nearing completion.
Votaries of Mrs Mahajan could argue that her loaded comment against Rahul was intented to cement her position in the BJP’s good books and press her case for another ticket to the Lok Sabha a few months hence.
