According to reports, the three men in the truck were pursued and attacked by a group of 10-12 individuals. The attackers intercepted the truck on the Mahanadi Bridge near Arang, dragging out and brutally beating the occupants.
A grant of Rs 50 per day per cow will be given to temporary cow shelters in the state in the current financial year 2023-24 to cover the daily expenses incurred on the care, treatment, nutrition, and suitable sheds of the cows.
The CM said the state government is determined to provide quality milk and milk products to the general public at a reasonable price.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Animal Husbandry Department to make proper arrangements for providing shelter to stray cattle.
It is worth mentioning here that there are around 220 gausadans in the state out of which 197 are functional as on 31 March 2022.
The state government's move comes close on the heels of the Punjab government's proposal last month to plough paddy crop residue into animal fodder, especially cattle.
The state government also issued an order allowing corporate houses to use corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds to provide facilities for abandoned cows in rural areas.
The Yogi Adityanath government will soon give Rs 30 per day to individuals and organisations that would take care of stray cattle.
The design has been prepared by divisional forest officer from Hamirpur, Krishan Kumar, and the dart gun is now in final stages of trial.
