After a joint media interaction with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El –Sisi, Prime Minister Modi said the two countries have decided to take the bilateral trade to $12 billion in the next five years. They have also decided to take concrete steps against cross-border terrorism and radicalisation.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar represented India at the summit. The ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The flux in the contemporary geopolitical situation is testing the closest of bilateral relationships between nations, and there are few stronger than those between India and France. The strategic partnership between the two countries has been deepened in several key areas from defence to education, climate, energy, digitalisation and technical collaboration.
"The Summit provides an opportunity to take stock of the outcomes of our Virtual Summit in March this year and identify priorities for future engagements based on our shared vision for the Indo-Pacific region," he said
Huawei will also share its experience and best practices with CITC in the future, including joint trainings for CITC officials focusing on emerging technologies such as AI and cloud, the statement said.
"We have decided to take our bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership. This will help us for long-term cooperation in every field of our partnership."
