Sensex ended the week at 76,619.33 and Nifty settled at 23,203.2. The Nifty remained under bearish pressure for yet another session.

Amid mixed global markets, indices opened on a strong note and witnessed a rangebound movement throughout the session.
The stock market ended lower during a highly volatile session on Friday, with the Nifty falling below 23,350. This was led by selling across the sectors, barring IT stocks.
At the close, the Sensex ended 350.81 points, or 0.47% higher at 74,227.63 while the Nifty 80 points or 0.36% at 22,514.70.
At the time of close, the Sensex was down 27.09 points, or 0.04%, at 73,876.82, while the Nifty was down 18.6 points, or 0.08%, at 22,434.70.
In a sector-wise analysis, the realty, metal, oil and gas, media, power and auto were up 1-2%, while the information technology and telecom indices were down 0.5% each.
The markets started the new financial year on a robust note and were seen compounding their gains with buying seen across sectors, especially in power, realty and metal names.
Sensex was up 655.04 points or 0.90% at 73,651.35, and the Nifty was up 203.20 points or 0.92% at 22,326.90.
