The tentative answer key for the SSC GD Constable exam was released on March 4, 2025, and candidates were allowed to raise objections until March 9.
Education minister Bratya Basu on Friday said that the state government would soon file a review petition regarding the dismissed candidates in the SSC recruitment case.

After the Supreme Court’s ruling on Thursday to cancel jobs of close to 26,000 teachers in the SSC 2016 recruitment case, many of the teachers, along with the candidates are left distraught.
BJP MP and national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuba Morcha (BJYM) Tejasvi Surya said youths of Bengal are deprived of jobs.
“We welcome the decision of the court which came at a time when the people of this state were on the verge of giving up any hopes for justice. The state government has already bought off the police and filled most government institutions with corrupt people.”
SFI and DYFI youth activists clashed with the police, on Wednesday, who stopped their rally to West Bengal Central School Service Commission’s office protesting against the alleged corruption by state government in SSC recruitment of Group D staff.
On Tuesday, the SSC informed the court that there were faults in the recruitment process, which made the judge furious. Making his observation, Gangopadhyay said, "The situation is such that I have lost all faith in SSC. They can do anything."
“As directed by the court and chief minister Mamata Banerjee, we will maintain utmost transparency in the recruitment process. We plan to hold TET for both primary and upper primary teachers every year,” said Basu
