The meeting between Mansukh Mandaviya and Dr. Satish Reddy was held to discuss the Sputnik V vaccine production and its supply.
The officials also informed that the SII has already received cell and vector samples from the Gamaleya Center as part of the technology transfer process.

The hospital is giving Sputnik's shot only to its employees who haven't been immunized so far.
On May 14, Dr Reddy's announced a limited pilot soft launch of the Sputnik V vaccine in India, ahead of the commercial launch later in June.
It is to be noted that the vaccination process for the 18-44 age group has been temporarily suspended due to the unavailability of anti-Covid jabs. There has been no clarity since the last four days when the next supply of anti-Covid jabs will be supplied to Delhi.
