The search operation continued for the second day in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Sunday, officials said.
Officials confirmed that a mysterious blast took place at the Sher Colony of the city.
The gunfight started in the morning when terrorists fired at a joint team of security forces that had launched a search operation in the area.
In the ensuing encounter, three terrorists, including a top LeT commander, were killed and their bodies were retrieved from the site of the encounter
By threatening traders and the general public, Pakistan backed terrorist outfits were trying to stretch the lockdown so as to create an impression that the situation in the valley was serious.
The terrorists hurled the grenade at the Main Chowk of the township located in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
Mobile Internet services have been suspended in Sopore and adjoining areas, and restrictions imposed in the town to maintain law and order.
Jitendra Malik was produced in the Bulandshahr court on Sunday where the police asked for his custody for further interrogation in the case.
Soldier had sustained injuries after the security forces laid a cordon and the militants, who were hiding, started firing, triggering the encounter.
