Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said seven projects in the state will harness 72 MW of solar power by this December.
Twenty-four per cent of the solar power produced by the project will be used in the Delhi Metro and the remaining 76 per cent by discoms of Madhya Pradesh.
This project comprises of three solar generating units of 250 MW each located on a 500-hectare plot of land situated inside a Solar Park.
The bidding was undertaken on April 16 under the e-reverse auction method where the bidder quoting the lowest tariff is awarded the project.
