With wildlife crimes on an upswing in the state, the Odisha Forest Department has decided to procure Belgian sniffer dogs to tackle poaching activities and smuggling of wildlife trophies.
The incident unfolded in the Ashok Nagar slum, nestled in the suburban Andheri (East) area of Mumbai. The child had gone missing on November 23 while playing with friends near his residence
According to an official of the Customs Department, the incident occurred at the Chennai Airport, when a female Uganda National arrived at the airport from Addis Ababa. After her arrival, she started finding a way to pass unchecked from the airport.
A sniffer dog of the Army was reportedly killed during the encounter. The identity of the killed terrorist was being ascertained.
