This new development announcement come just a day after 'The Verge' reported that Snapchat is planning to lay off a number of employee after a fall observed in the Q2 of 2022.
With this next-generation Story, the company said it is hoping to help Snapchatters turn shared moments into shared memories.
The company said that over 250 million Snapchatters engaged with Augmented Reality (AR) every day on average.
"We hope that Lenses not only evolve the way we see the world but help us feel closer to one another," the company said in a blogpost.
The company said the feature, which is accessible in its Lens Studio, can be used to create landmarkers for things like statues and storefronts in creators' local communities.
