More than half of smartphones shipped in 2028 are projected to be GenAI capable, as broader use cases continue to emerge and availability expands across price segments, according to a new report.
Smartphone sales grew 11 per cent (year-over-year) in the first wave of the festive season sales in India between September 26-October 6, a report said on Tuesday.
The gradual growth can be attributed to persistent consumer preference for improved cameras.
The Indian smartphone market shipped 69 million smartphones in the first half of 2024, with 7.2 per cent growth YoY (year-over-year), according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).
