Opposition members of the Samajwadi Party created pandemonium in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Thursday over Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement on Dr B R Ambedkar in the Parliament forcing the Speaker Satish Mahana to adjourn the house sine die, one day before schedule.
Rs 6,2,421.73 crore budget for 2024-25 passed.
Speaking in the house today, Chief Minister Dr Yadav praised the Opposition as well as members of the ruling benches. He also showered praises on Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar adjourned the Rajya Sabha sine die, giving a short summary of the Winter Session, after the passage of the three Bills.
Giving a short summary of the work done during the session, Mr Birla said it was the 14th session of the 17th Lok Sabha, which commenced on 4 December.
In his concluding remarks, Birla said that 20 Bills were introduced and 22 Bills passed during the session.
Low productivity marks the Budget Session
Earlier during the Zero Hour, Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav tried to raise the issue related to CM Yogi Adityanath's statement that SP was opposing the norms of the Constitution but the Speaker did not grant the permission.
Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania disclosed that a total of three meetings took place during the winter session of the Assembly.
