The Odisha government had provided Rs 5.5 crore to the Railways for ticket fare of the migrants returning to Odisha, but people returning without prior information, may face difficulty in availing the free ticket facility.
'Family members of the deceased said all were suffering from serious ailment. The travel history of all the three deceased passengers was taken', Kanpur District Magistrate Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari said.
It also said that the originating state will provide adequate security at the designated station to ensure that only those passengers, who have been cleared by state government to travel and have valid train ticket for journey, should enter station premises.
