Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Manisha Khurana Kakkar recorded the statement of Rajan Bansal. He had sold a hammer to Aftab Amin Poonawala.
Counsel of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, who is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar to death, chopping her body into several pieces, storing them in a fridge before disposing of them in a forest over three months, on Friday complained in court that his client was "manhandled" during his production in court.
The charge sheet reveals how the accused strangled Shraddha and how he disposed of the body parts one by one.
The investigating officer informed the court that the chargesheet contains 6,629 pages including the annexures. Following this, the judge said, "it is voluminous."
Apart from 100 witnesses, forensic and electronic evidence has been made the basis of the draft charge sheet of more than 3000 pages.
According to police, accused Prince Yadav, who was arrested on Saturday, had concealed a country-made pistol at the spot.
As Aftab's five-day police custody ends on Tuesday, the Delhi Police is racing against time to get the tests conducted at Dr B.R. Ambedkar hospital in Rohini.
Sources said Delhi Police and Manikpur Police have been interrogating a person who helped Shraddha's live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawala to reach Delhi.
Officials of Delhi Police on Sunday continued the probe in the dense forest area of South Delhi's Mehrauli with an aim to recover the dismembered body parts of Shraddha Walker, believed to be disposed of by her murderer Aaftab Amin Poonawala across the national capital.
A team of the Delhi Police probing the Shraddha murder case has reached Mumbai for further investigation into the matter.
