Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Manisha Khurana Kakkar recorded the statement of Rajan Bansal. He had sold a hammer to Aftab Amin Poonawala.
Counsel of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, who is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar to death, chopping her body into several pieces, storing them in a fridge before disposing of them in a forest over three months, on Friday complained in court that his client was "manhandled" during his production in court.
The charge sheet reveals how the accused strangled Shraddha and how he disposed of the body parts one by one.
The investigating officer informed the court that the chargesheet contains 6,629 pages including the annexures. Following this, the judge said, "it is voluminous."
Apart from 100 witnesses, forensic and electronic evidence has been made the basis of the draft charge sheet of more than 3000 pages.
"It was further observed in the case that the Fundamental Right to Privacy cannot be construed as absolute and must bow down to compelling public interest"
Shraddha was allegedly killed by her live-in partner Aaftab, who allegedly chopped her body into 35 pieces, bought a refrigerator and stored them in it before he disposed them off at different locations.
However, the Delhi Police has remained silent on whether the DNA of Shraddha's father matched with the samples collected from the forest area and said that the reports obtained are helpful in further investigation.
Due to investigators not able to extract the information needed to push the investigation further, Poonawalla's polygraph test was also left incomplete on Friday.
Among those who were questioned include Shraddha's friends Laxman Nadar, Rahul Rai, Godwin, Shivani Mhatre and her husband.
