The duo identified as Suhaib Reyaz and Anayat Ullah Iqbal, both residents of Saidapora Payeen, confessed to their involvement in the terror attack.
Two non-local labourers from Uttar Pradesh were killed in Harmen area of South Kashmir's Shopian district in the grenade attack.
Deceased has been identified as Puran Krishan Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit. The injured was shifted to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Jamaat-e-Islami was declared an unlawful association in 2019, but it continued to raise funds in various forms on the pretext of charitable purposes.
The gunfight started after security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Hind-Sitapora village of Shopian district.
Warlike stores of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot.
The SPO, identified as Khushboo Jan, was shot at her house in the Vehil village of Shopian in the afternoon.
The 25-year-old woman is said to be the maternal cousin of terrorist commander Zeenat-ul-Islam who was killed along with his associate in an encounter at Katpora in Kulgam last month.
Four journalists, covering the gunfight, sustained pellet shots fired apparently by the security forces.
