The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Sunday night intensified disciplinary actions by suspending seven additional rebel candidates for anti-party activities ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

Rubbishing the statement of Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut regarding the closure of ‘Laadli Behna Yojana,’ Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Wednesday that the scheme is very much active in MP and would never be discontinued.
'Had there been a Congress or any other coalition government in the Centre then the resignation of the Home Minister would have been demanded,' it said.
'We have heard Trump is going to be in Ahmedabad for only three hours but the wall construction is costing almost Rs 100 crore to the state exchequer,' Sena said.
The Centre last month transferred the probe in the case from the Pune Police to NIA, a move then criticised by the state Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government.
The Congress is one of the ruling constituents in the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, also comprising the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Earlier, Sena president and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, too without naming the BJP had said yesterday, the people of Delhi have listened to 'Jan ki baat' and 'Mann ki Baat' will have no relevance in the country now.
