Bikram Singh Majithia said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wanted to bring in an amendment to the Police Act through the backdoor without any wider discussion on the same in the Punjab Assembly.
The Sidhu-Majithia duo has had heated exchanges inside and outside the Punjab Assembly as the Congress leader has been training guns against the SAD leader over his alleged connections with drug cartels.
The demand came days after the Punjab Police requested people to remove objectionable content that promotes gun culture from their social media handles.
Party leader Bikram Singh Majithia accused the Delhi CM and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann of virtually patronising a criminal nexus in Delhi and Punjab jails and requested the Union government as well as the Supreme Court and high courts take suo moto action in the matter.
