Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Arvind Kejriwal, calling him the "AAP-DA' Azam" who has built a "Sheesh Mahal" using the "blood and sweat" of Delhi's people. Sachdeva drew a stark contrast between the city's rich history and Kejriwal's alleged corruption.
Amid the ongoing row over 'Sheesh Mahal', AAP leaders had a faceoff with the Delhi Police on Wednesday outside the Delhi CM's residence with the BJP dubbing it as a "clear display of anarchy".
Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Monday alleged irregularities in the construction of the controversial bungalow at 6 Flag Staff Road, citing findings from a 2022 Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. He claimed that the project was dubiously declared an "emergency necessity" during its construction.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, BJP MP and national spokesperson Sambit Patra, citing a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, said on March 17, 2020, the PWD of Delhi gave a proposal for remodelling of Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
He asserted that an inventory list prepared by the PWD after Kejriwal vacated the bungalow revealed that the items present at the residence far exceeded those originally provided by it in 2022.
Sharpening his attack, Sachdeva alleged that the CM residence served as the epicentre for orchestrating corruption, due to which the development of Delhi is getting stalled.
