On the ongoing violence in the northeast part of Delhi, the court said that if the police act as per law, many of these problems won't take place.

The court has appointed senior advocates Sanjay Hegde and Sadhna Ramchandran and former bureaucrat Wajahat Habibullah to talk to the protesters and find an alternative protest location.

The top court issued notice to the Centre and Delhi government on suo moto cognizance it took after a letter by a Bravery Award winner, Zen Gunratan Sadavarte, to stop children and infants' involvement in demonstration and agitations.
Adjourning the petition for Monday, the top court said it did not want to 'influence' the Assembly Election in Delhi scheduled on Saturday.
