India and Pakistan in October 2019 signed an agreement to operationalise the Kartarpur Corridor to allow Indian pilgrims a visa-free visit to the holy gurdwara, believed to have been built on the site where Guru Nanak died in the 16th century, and located some 4 km inside Pakistan.
He said that efforts were being made to alleviate the plight of Pakistanis stranded abroad.
The primary objective of the plan is to deal with the immediate and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on Pakistan's health sector.
The visit comes as the US and Taliban are expected to reach a withdrawal agreement by the end of January and are prepared to "scale down" military operations ahead of signing the deal.
Qureshi said he has seen a willingness from the Taliban to reduce the violence.
The two countries are at loggerheads since Saudi oil facilities came under missile attacks in September. Saudi Arabia and the US were quick to blame Iran for the attack.

Despite tensions between the two neighbours, Pakistan had assured that it stands ready to open the Kartarpur corridor and welcome the Sikh pilgrims.
