Stock Market staged a strong rebound, snapping a three-day losing streak with Nifty 50 closing above 22,500 as across-the-board buying revived sentiment, in-line with the rally across Asian markets and Europe.
At close, the Sensex was down 2,226.79 points or 2.95% at 73,137.90, and the Nifty was down 742.85 points or 3.24% at 22,161.60.
It was a total bloodbath on Dalal Street as the Nifty 50 tanked 906.95 points, or 3.96 per cent at 21,997.50, while the Sensex nosedived 2,792.89 points, or 3.71per cent at 72,571.80 at 11:30 am.
The Trump tariff triggered selloff in IT, while pharma bucked the trend.
The stock market on Tuesday snapped two-day losing streak and gained 0.5 per cent supported by auto, realty and financials after the RBI announced liquidity-boosting measures.
At close, Sensex was down 824 points or 1 per cent at 75,366, and the Nifty was down 275 points or 1.2 per cent at 22,817.
At the close, the Sensex rose 566 points (0.75%) to 76,404, while the Nifty gained 130 points (0.57%) to finish at 23,155. Market breadth remained weak, with 1,110 stocks advancing, 2,677 declining, and 107 remaining unchanged.
Stock market tumbled on Tuesday, declining over 1% as investor sentiment took a hit from multiple global and domestic triggers.
At close, the Sensex was down 423.49 points or 0.55 per cent at 76,619.33, and the Nifty was down 108.60 points or 0.47 per cent at 23,203.20.
