The deployment of police across key locations such as ITO ghat and Kalindi Kunj ghat has been intensified to manage the crowd and stop anti-social elements to disrupt the festivities.

The meeting is scheduled to be held between 11 am to 5 pm at a secret and highly secured location in the city.
After the news buzz, the senior officers have taken emphasized steps to ensure safety at all these markets by increasing police foot patrolling, deployment of alert police staff on watch towers, installation of metal detectors at entry points of the market, and deployment of police personnel at entry points to keep an eye on suspects entering the market.
The DGP interacted with representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and locals and also surveyed sites for border police posts.
