It is learnt that the meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Director General of Military Operations Lt Gen Pratik Sharma and heads of various security agencies.
The ADGP was accompanied by DIG UR Range Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Reasi Ms. Mohita Sharma and other Police officers responsible for the Yatra arrangements, a police spokesman said.
The DG discussed operational aspects with unit commandants and interacted with troops commending their dedication and professionalism.
Sources said that it was decided to increase vigil along the borders with Pakistan to foil infiltration of terrorists. The intelligence apparatus of the two states has also been geared up.
