The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released its second list of 20 candidates for the Delhi assembly elections slated earlier next year, dropping 13 incumbent MLAs and shifting constituencies of two senior party leaders Manish Sisodia and Rakhi Bidlan.
The Congress on Saturday released its second list of 23 candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra. According to a communiqué issued by the Congress general secretary in-charge of Organisation KC Venugopal, the party's Central Election Commission (CEC) has selected the candidates.
Unhappy over the denial of tickets, many Congress leaders hit the street with their supporters.
Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Singh Patel will be representing the party in the Dimani and Narsingpur constituencies, respectively.
"Eshwarappa voluntarily wrote a letter to the party president that he will work for the party and he does not want to contest," he said.
