As last-minute preparations to accommodate people participating in celebration of Martyrs’ Day at Esplanade were carried on full swing today.
The occasion was a reason to rejoice for Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) as the entire stretch of the Eastward metro line from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan across the river Hooghly is now connected.
With a daily customer footfall of millions of people, Sealdah railway station will help Amazon customers in the region pick up their packages while commuting to work, home or even on vacation.
As per the plan, while the stretch between M G Road and Beliaghata Road flanks will be closed to traffic, M G Road and Beliaghata Road will be completely functional. The closure will be from 6 p.m. on 15 August to 6 p.m. on 18 August.
