The Ministry of Labour and Employment has disbursed over Rs 32 crore as scholarship to more than 92,000 wards of Beedi, Cine and Non-Coal Mine Workers.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Saturday claimed that there is a significant decline in the number of students receiving scholarships under the Scheduled Caste scholarship scheme in the national capital, and termed the AAP government “anti-Dalit”.
During a Cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the proposal to amend/increase the existing scholarship rates, which have been in place since 2001, was approved for students pursuing education in Sanskrit schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

The Indian Army on Sunday commenced the Jammu and Kashmir Special Scholarship Scheme 2023 as part of Operation Sadbhavana with the aim of providing educational opportunities to underprivileged yet dedicated students.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids across 22 locations in six districts of Uttar Pradesh in connection with "fraudulent" availment of post-matriculation scholarships by various educational institutes across the state, according to an official statement.

The pre-matric scholarship is earmarked for the borders of schools under the ST & SC Development Department and School & Mass Education Department.
