The Supreme Court on Friday sought response from the Tamil Nadu government on a plea seeking to recall its judgment granting bail to the state minister Senthil Balaji in an alleged money laundering case relating to cash-for-jobs scam.
The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that no toll would be levied on commuters using the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway and dismissed an appeal of the Noida Toll Bridge Corporation Limited (NTBCL) against the 2016 Allahabad High Court order prohibiting toll collection on the 9.2-kilometre-long DND flyway.

Stating “We do not find the said condition necessary”, a bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Viswanathan, however, clarified that Sisodia shall regularly attend the trial.
The bench also listed the other petitions challenging the provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on January 10.
“What you have to pay you have to pay,” Justice Kaul told the Delhi government, pointing out that “The problem is you have to be arm-twisted to pay money that you are obligated to.”
The poser from the bench came as Solicitor General, representing the Central government, asserted that the Central government has the power to extend the tenure.
The petition also sought revocation of the exemption of the chief minister from personal appearance granted to him in criminal cases.
The order holds that the powers entrusted to the governor cannot be taken recourse to to thwart the normal course of lawmaking by the state legislatures.
