Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said the Supreme Court's verdict on the Tamil Nadu Governor indefinitely withholding bills passed by the state Assembly upholds the federal system and the democratic rights of the legislature.
While welcoming the Supreme Court's decision, Mayawati expressed hope that it would put an end to the controversies surrounding Madrasa education and the uncertainty faced by thousands of Madrasas.
Recounting in the Delhi Assembly on Wednesday how the apex court, through its ruling on the matter, sent out a strong message in favour of democracy on Tuesday, the chief minister said it seemed as though the God was present inside the chief justice.
