Veteran Trinamul Congress MP from Dum Dum Saugata Roy received a phone call in which the caller threatened to kill him if the arrested party leader Jayant Singh was not released as soon as possible.
Trinamul Member of Parliament from the Dum Dum constituency, Prof Saugata Roy was one of the 50 senior party leaders to have been hand- picked by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee to campaign in the rural areas before the panchayat elections today.
