Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal underscored the pivotal role of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in transforming the education sector, positioning India on the path to becoming a global leader or ‘Viswa Guru’.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, drew numerous fitness enthusiasts, students, and local participants, embodying Sardar Patel's enduring ideals of unity and integrity.

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said here on Thursday that more than five lakh tourists visited lighthouses between April and June.
Considering the COVID restrictions, many senior officials of the Ministry of Port Shipping and Waterways, senior officials of the Directorate General of Shipping, senior officials of the Maritime fraternity and several stakeholders of SCI participated virtually.
"Being the biggest transporter of the sea, the Shipping Corporation of India has contributed significantly to fulfilling Prime Minister's vision of Transformation through Transportation," Sonowal said addressing the diamond jubilee celebration of the corporation, in Mumbai.
Modi also expressed happiness over the election of the BJP's first-ever MP from Puducherry S Selvaganabathy.
The names of the two candidates were announced by the party general secretary and in charge of party headquarters Arun Singh here in a press release.
The Union Minister made these remarks after laying the foundation stone of transit accommodation camp at Khawjabagh Baramulla.
