Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday claimed that the Narendra Modi government has sparked a new energy in the Northeast India as the region aims to power the engine of growth for the country’s quest to become 'Aatmanirbhar'.
Union Minister for Shipping Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday inaugurated new projects worth Rs 187.33 crore at the Chennai and Ennore Kamarajar ports.
Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal underscored the pivotal role of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in transforming the education sector, positioning India on the path to becoming a global leader or ‘Viswa Guru’.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, drew numerous fitness enthusiasts, students, and local participants, embodying Sardar Patel's enduring ideals of unity and integrity.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, spent time with rickshaw and cart pullers in Dibrugarh, connecting with them over a heartfelt meal of Poori Sabji.
Speaking to the gathering he said, “The Prime Minister visited the states 64 times. And for the first time in the history a railway connectivity upto Aizawl from Siliguri to Gangtok has been taken. This is underway and it is a very difficult task” he added
The meeting, with participation from more than 40 countries, underscored the global interest in the upcoming Global Maritime India Summit 2023 to be held in October in New Delhi.
