Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal underscored the pivotal role of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in transforming the education sector, positioning India on the path to becoming a global leader or ‘Viswa Guru’.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, drew numerous fitness enthusiasts, students, and local participants, embodying Sardar Patel's enduring ideals of unity and integrity.

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said here on Thursday that more than five lakh tourists visited lighthouses between April and June.
Notably, Jorhat saw the highest turnout, reaching 76.20% by 3 pm.
In an exclusive interview with The Statesman's Abhijit Deb, Sonowal elaborates on his campaign strategy, aiming to secure victory in this closely watched race.
Sonowal also condemned the Congress for suppressing movements like the Assam movement.
Inaugurating various terminals across the region, including the Passenger-cum-Cargo Terminal at Bogibeel near Dibrugarh and the Inland Water Transport Terminal at Sonamura in Tripura, Sonowal emphasised their role in revitalising waterway transportation for both goods and passengers.
Speaking to the gathering he said, “The Prime Minister visited the states 64 times. And for the first time in the history a railway connectivity upto Aizawl from Siliguri to Gangtok has been taken. This is underway and it is a very difficult task” he added
