Saqib Saleem has played the role of Mohinder Amarnath in the recently released movie 83. By way of 83, serendipity played out in Saqib's favour and he accomplished his childhood dream of playing cricket for India.
Saqib added: "I am waiting for the post-release party when normalcy returns and we meet everybody in person."
The makers of '83 have been unveiling character posters of the film's cast on social media every day.
'83 revolves around India's maiden win at the 1983 World Cup under the captaincy of legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev.
'83 features an ensemble cast including the likes of Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi and Deepika Padukone in a small role as Kapil Dev's wife- Romi Bhatia.
The actor also has been shooting for the last leg of ace cricketer Kapil Dev's biopic '83 in Mumbai.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap retweeted the actor's post while Riteish Deshmukh also reacted to it.
Currently stationed in Scotland, the team will shoot for the final match of the film at Lord's post the ICC Cricket World Cup.
