The Look Out Circular was issued in connection with an allegation of money laundering rooted in an alleged coal scam. The court said that Banerjees will be allowed to go abroad after informing the ED of their travel plans.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Rujira was stopped by the immigration department at Kolkata airport from boarding a Dubai flight and was also handed a copy of the summons issued to her by the ED.
She was specially questioned about the Bangkok-based bank account, where money was transferred by a Howrah-based chartered accountant, Neeraj Singh.
Abhishek and Rujira Banerjee had earlier moved the Delhi High Court against the ED summons. On March 11, the high court had dismissed their plea.
The CBI team questioned Rujira for around an hour when they tried to ascertain the details of her bank transactions, suspecting her connection the coal scam.
The TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee was at Abhishek's house for around ten minutes. The CBI team arrived there within minutes of her departure.
