Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is set to visit Bengal on an extended tour amidst the ongoing tension over the persecution of the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and the other issues like infiltration and arrest of militants in West Bengal.
He will be accompanied by eight other RSS functionaries, including the RSS Sarkaryawah or General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.
On Friday, the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court allowed the Bhim Army to hold a meeting of its workers at Reshimbaug ground, near RSS headquarters.
Taking to Twitter Azad urged people to join the rally and carry the Indian flag to counter the saffron flag of the Hindutva ideologues of RSS.
The polls were held after tension ran high at the campus over the last few weeks that witnessed widespread campaign by CPI(M)-backed Students' Federation of India (SFI) and RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
He said that the aim of RSS is nothing more than uniting the Hindu society and not to interfere in the federal system of the country.
Describing the BJP-RSS combine as the biggest threat to the nation, Miss Ghosh urged the students to foil the attempt by the fascist forces to occupy space in the universities.
