As Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat prepares for a 10-day long visit to West Bengal, political storm have escalated, with the Trinamul Congress (TMC) and the Congress strongly opposing what they call the RSS and BJP’s "saffronisation” politics and call for resistance against "fundamental politics" of Sangh chief Bhagwat."
Trinamul Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee today condemned the statement of Mohan Bhagwat, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief as anti-national and said this was uncalled for.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is set to visit Bengal on an extended tour amidst the ongoing tension over the persecution of the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and the other issues like infiltration and arrest of militants in West Bengal.
He will be accompanied by eight other RSS functionaries, including the RSS Sarkaryawah or General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.
The all-India comprehensive meeting is held once a year. Sarsanghchalak Mohan ji Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale, along with all the five sah-sarkaryavah and other office-bearers of the Sangh Parivar are scheduled to take part in the event. BJP national president J P Nadda is also scheduled to take part.
The RSS chief is in Kangra on a five-day tour where he attended a seminar with 60 intellectuals yesterday including Tibetan government-in-exile president Penpa Tsering and Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.
The CM said the Akalis were the gateway through which the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which has always been inimical to the interests of Punjab.
It is learnt that the RSS chief will reach Jammu on 1 October.
The senior RSS leader's remarks came at a book release function held here recently and published in the news roundup section of the 12 September, 2021 issue of the RSS English mouthpiece Organiser.
