Addressing Members of the Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar said, " I have every hope that the proceedings of the House will be marked by enriching and informed debates, optimally utilising the time for national benefit."
With more BRS MLAs on their way to the Congress in the next few days, the BRS top leadership has allegedly turned to the BJP to safeguard their MLAs from the Congress and secure their own political future.
Welcoming the Members on the commencement of the 264th session of Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar said, "Let us all work towards the blossoming of democracy."
These 27 members from ten states did so in 10 languages: Hindi (12 Members), English (4), two each in Sanskrit, Kannada, Marathi, and Oriya, and one each in Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. Four others of the 57 newly-elected members had taken oath recently.
