Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that development projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore are in progress in Uttarakhand, with central grants to the state doubling over the past 10 years. Modi assured that the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail link will be completed by 2026.
The state tourism department has trained 14 women as white water river rafting guides under its special scheme aimed at making them self-reliant. Department officials said that the trained women rafters will now be registered as official representatives to regulate rafting activities on the Ganga River

Vishnoi informed that this exclusive tailor-made training is being organized in collaboration with Jaipuria Institute of Management from October 4th to October 6th, 2023.
This ventilator was developed about two-and-a-half-months ago in joint collaboration with IIT Roorkee and AIIMS Rishikesh.
Due to lockdown, a few were allowed to attend the last rites of Anand Bisht. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev were among the selected to attend funeral. The body of Anand Singh Bisht had reached his native village on Monday evening. Villagers offered their tribute to Bisht at Panchur.

IIT Roorkee has developed a low-cost portable ventilator that can be useful to ensure the survival of COVID-19 patients. Named as ‘Prana-Vayu,’ the closed-loop ventilator is developed in collaboration with AIIMS, Rishikesh, and is equipped with state-of-the-art features.
The shield can be used along with the protective gear by healthcare personnel while entering the wards housing COVID-19 patients.
