Reliance Jio saw 7.96 million users leave the telecom operator in September, data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) showed on Thursday. This was Jio’s third straight month of losing subscribers.

As per the information shared by the company, the new tariff plans range from Rs 189 for 2 GB per month to Rs 3,599 for 2.5 GB per day annual plan. These plans include unlimited 5G data for all plans with 2GB/day and above.
Bharti Airtel will begin carrying out 5G services later this month, as it consented to requisite 5G equipment arrangements with South Korean tech giant Samsung.
The tariff hike by operators is likely in the next 9-12 months, along with the levy of premium charges for 5G subscribers, rating agency CareEdge said in a report.
Private 5G captive networks are about the deployment of high speed, enhanced data capacity, and ultra-low latency applications inside a closed manufacturing unit, hospital, airport and shipping port, among others.
"Jio is set to lead India's march into the 5G era," chairman Akash Ambani said in a statement, promising "services, platforms and solutions that will accelerate India's digital revolution".
As per latest the telecom subscriber data released by TRAI, for the month of June 2021, Reliance Jio added highest 2,52,878 mobile subscribers in Odisha, followed by Airtel which added 1,13,342 subscribers.
