The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday accorded approval to the proposal to provide 10 per cent reservation and a three-year age relaxation besides exemption from physical test for ex-Agniveers in uniformed services.
The decision was taken during the sate Cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
The government also allowed a wheat consignment headed for Egypt, which was already under loading at the Kandla port.
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing the rice manufacturers, submitted before the bench that they had made a representation in the first week of December seeking relaxation, but the commission has not decided it yet.
Restaurants and bakeries will be allowed to provide only parcel food from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and food delivery services will also be allowed during this period.
The relaxation will allow autos and taxis to operate with two passengers in these 19 districts.
